60 Questions with Breakfast N Vegas
When we first heard Cuál Es Tu Snapchat (at a Latin dance club that happens to be a Sahara Tent Intern favorite), we immediately knew it was going to be a hit. Now reaching almost 1.7 million streams on Spotify, we got the crew who produced the track onto 60 Questions. Please welcome Curtis and Connor, two members of Breakfast N Vegas!
Welcome to 60 Questions guys!
Curtis: Thanks man!
Connor: Stoked to be here!
Let’s go ahead and get the ball rolling. What’s the significance of your DJ name?
Curtis: When you think of Vegas, you think of a melting pot of different styles, like the food, the restaurants, nightlife- things like that. It’s awesome to be able to go to one place for that. We also really like the idea of having a crazy night out, and then recounting it at breakfast the next day.
When did you know you were going to be a musician?
Curtis: Definitely when I was young, probably in middle school. I really liked the schedule and the variety. I also didn’t really see myself waking up at 9 every day to do the same thing over and over again.
What country in the world would you love to visit?
Curtis: I love beaches, so someplace with amazing beaches.
Connor: Maybe like Cypress or the Maldives?
Name one thing you can’t live without?
Connor: Coffee… I literally wouldn’t exist without it
Name one thing you could live without?

That would be nice. What’s one thing you have to have with you on set?
Connor: A towel- it gets way too hot on stage.
What’s one cause that you really care about?
Curtis: Financing education for children.

Alright, time for a hard one. What’s your favorite thing to eat?
Curtis: I’m trying to go vegan, but I could seriously eat chicken wings every day.
Connor: Dude, you can’t be eating chicken wings every day! We’ve got a photo shoot coming up!

Connor: Serving hotdogs at a hot dog company in Chicago.

Who was your favorite musician growing up?
Curtis: Ryan Leslie.
Connor: I’d say Fatboy Slim. He was the first DJ I fell in love with.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Curtis: Recently? I would say hitting 4 million streams in total was a big milestone for us. It was kind of hard to imagine, coming from zero.
Connor: You know what’s my favorite number that we’ve gotten so far? The number of Shazam’s that we have. For Give It Up it was around 10K? But I think it’s such a cool organic thing. Like people hear a song, think ‘hey I really like this’ enough where they want to know who the artist is. That’s pretty cool. Like streams are streams, but this proves that people out there are fucking with your music.
Soooo do you guys have a Snapchat?
